My character is John Tyree, from Dear John.
ReplyDeleteI believe my character is "multi-dimensional" because there is more to him than what meets the eye. He looks like a buff, laid-back surfer dude, but you'd never know by just looking at him that he has pain and guilt from the way he treated his father growing up. He suffers anguish and wishes he could take back how he treated his dad. In fact, just by looking at him and the way he treats people now (during the book), you'd never really know that he was that mean kind of person "once upon a time".
John is also a soldier. Most of the time, people go into the service because they feel that's their "calling", or it's what they are meant to do. John doesn't feel this way; the service to him is something to do to get him out of his town and away from his youth. At first, it's something for him to do because he doesn't know who he is or where he is going- when he meets Savannah, that all changes.
I think John's strongest personality traits are his ambition (to be a better person), his calm, quiet nature, and the way he loves with his whole heart (as shown in his relationship with Savannnah and eventually his father). He is also Loyal.
I think one major weakness is John's temper. he has a habit of "flying off of the handle" a little too often. But, I do notice that he doesn't go crazy over anything...just anything to do with people he cares about a ton. This tells me that he is pretty laid back and can take a lot-- but when you strike the chord that makes him tick, he will strike back.
If I had to characterize John's type, it would be the "Strong, Silent type".
1)Book: Stormbreaker.
ReplyDeleteCharacter: Alex Rider
2)multi dimensional.
3)traits: he is nervous and questioning why he is doing the mission. He is sneaky and smart as well.
4)Feels like giving up at some points.
5) strong and silent.
1) I chose Vince Carter
ReplyDelete2) Multi-dementinal
3) That Vince Carter never seen his dad
4) Vince never get dives to get the ball on the floor.
5) Vince is a jock.
The book i chose was Gender Blender by Blake Nelson and I chose Tom to write about. Um i think there is more to him then meets the eye because he may act like he is all tough and everything around other people but when he is with Emma he opens up more and is more alive with her and is nice and everything. They kinda fight a little bit but sense they are seeing things trough there different lives they don't. The traits that come up again and again and again are that he is always being Emma so he has to act like her and make sure everyone believes him instead of like him (Tom) is someone is making him mad he would beat them up but its different. My characters weakness is being Emma. He comes to find out that it is hard to be a girl because she has so many after school activities going on and its hard to keep up. My character is a jock but he can also be a class clown at times and he is strong but he is kind of a lover when it comes to Emma but he is more of a fighter than a lover.
ReplyDelete1. I read the book Access Denied (and other eighth grade error messages) This book was by Denise Vega. I recommend this book to every middle school girl.
ReplyDelete2. My character is a multi-dimensional character because she can be hanging with the right group of kids but then hang with some not so nice kids. Erin is really a kind girl but when she gets with the wrong people, she doesn't always make the right decisions.
3. Some of Erin's strongest traits are being kind and polite. Erin is an all around girl, she is athletic, smart, pretty and writes a lot. She is an excellent writer and expresses her feelings well in writing. Erin is a well rounded person and shows this throughout the book.
4.Erin tends to sometimes hang with the wrong people. She will become friends and does some things that aren't acceptable. For example when she goes to the party with Reede, without asking her parents and then going to a very bad party. Erin got in trouble because of this. Erin is a pretty nice person but sometimes gets involved with the wrong people.
Revenge of The Wannabes By: Lisi Harrison
ReplyDeleteMassie Block is Multi-Dimensional because she might seem really mean at first but she can be very sweet/nice and vise-verse. She also can be rude but very considerate.
-She seems like a strong person, but she might have lost one of her best friends and it is very hard for her. *I can connect to this because everyone says I'm suck a strong person, but I actually can be very emotional.
-She's also rude too, she'll cut people off and tell people what they can and cannot do. She also kind of forces people to say/do things.
Massie sometimes seems to mean/rude to her friends. I think if she wasn't so mean, she might get more respect from her friends and possibly an apology from Alicia.
1) My book is called "Dreamland" and the character in this book I am using is Rogerson.
ReplyDelete2) I think that Rogerson is multi-dimensional because Caitlin (the main character and his girlfriend) is constantly asking him "what else don't I know about you?" Every time she is with him she learns something new about him. One day she learns he does drugs, the next he's abused, the next he's a genius, etc.
3) Rogerson's strongest personality trait is that he hides everything and he's shown as a person with no feelings. He constantly tries to hide his home life that he's ever so embarrassed of.
4) The weakness that Rogerson has is his addiction. I feel it's the one that least defines him. It doesn't give him his charm, it doesn't give him his hard rock exterior, etc.
I choose Jack from The Warrior Heir.
ReplyDeleteI think he's more flat, yet again I'm just learning about him. What you see is mostly what you get. He is more strait out an just average. Although later when he is learning about magic he still doesn't realize it until he's attacked by a wizard (for the second time) which to me I think is stupid because it's hinted to him too.
He's mostly average but he can have some intelligence because of his ansesters speaking to him, I also think its in his blood and not in his brain right now so he's still average.
His weakness is that he has no idea he's a warrior. (Which is a very strong magic above everything else.) Without knowing this he protected for the first part of his life, but when the men start coming after him I think his Aunt and Mother should have told him that he could do magical power to protect himself. Not knowing means he hasn't trained and if he hasn't trained he isn't as protected and educated.
I have chosen the main character Daelyn. Daelyn, I strongly believe, is multi-dimensional. To outsiders, she is a freak. She is someone viewed as really different, someone to pick on and bully. But Daelyn has so many things she is hiding from them, some things she hides even from her parents.
ReplyDeleteDaelyn is unwilling to make contact with other people. Now that she has decided to kill herself, she is retracting from life, from her parents, from everything, and she isn't allowing herself to feel. She has been bullied and sexually assualted, and ridiculed. She was called fat and ugly as a child. And now, as a high school student, she is mute, another reason to be picked on. She is pushing away the few people who are reaching out to her.
1. I'm reading The Titan's Curse and I choose Percy Jackson
ReplyDelete2. He is definitely not flat. He has a lot of things about him. But I think I should have done Thalia, because she would be perfect for this activity.
3. When he is in the water I guess. He's definitely great at fighting monsters.
4. Archery, he is really not good at archery
Optional: I think that Percy is a type that knows what he wants and is a quick thinker. He can get sidetracked kind-of easily.
1 my book is brains hunt the main character name is brain.
ReplyDelete2 he is a flat character.
3 he brave, nice, and courageous.
4 being scared of the bear.
