i remember when i broke my fingers and my noes. i was a Jordens house and we were picking up some metal. then i went to drop them and my finger got stuck on one a it crushed two of my fingers. then i went to go wash the blood of then i past out and i ran in to a wall and broke my noes. then i when to the hospital they took x rays and then the numbed my hand a then they pop the blood blister on my finger. then they raped my fingers and i went home.

I remember when Whitney Butts shot her first deer. One morning i decide not to go hunting with Mike Pellitier so Whitney his step daughter took my place. The few deer there were out in those woods Whitney happened to shoot one. So Mike calls up my dad and says that Whitney shot the deer and i was happy for her but at the same time i was mad that i didn't get the deer because i decide to stay home. So he asked us to go to the tagging station to get her tag and meet them at "Gill Laflaumes and sons" and give them the tag.

Hi Guys:

I am sorry I am missing you today (Tuesday); I am quite sick and at home working on getting better. But, luckily, this gives you guys some time to read and search for information about Percy's Heroic journey.

In your reading for Thursday (up to page 188) you'll read about 2 of the tests or challenges that Percy has to overcome as he begins his travels.

For today, go to the moodle site, open up "The Lightning Thief, Readings 1-4" and complete the questions listed in READING 4 (chapters 10 and 11). Please read all directions carefully.

Save your answers and thoughts in a WORD DOCUMENT in your lightning thief folder.

Sooooo....now that you have all of your information written in your folder, really quickly post a comment to the following prompt:

1. What are the two obstacles Percy encounters as he begins his quest?
2. How does he overcome them both?
3. Which of the magical items (the sword, cap, Mist, shoes) do you think are going to be the most helpful moving forward in the quest?

Percy Begins His Heroic Journey!!

Remember from last week that the Heroic Cycle begins with our hero at his or her starting point. Write a comment about how Percy’s journey has begun. You will probably include things like:

1. How Percy was given his quest
2. What is Percy’s quest
3. Why is he assigned his quest
4. Is Percy’s excited about it, nervous, scared….etc
5. Who are Percy’s friends that will travel with him and help him on his way


Your response will be a couple of good paragraphs. You may use your books to help you write it if you wish!

- So they think I’m Percy Jackson supposedly because I love water. I’m also stubborn, determined and will do anything for the ones I love.

In what ways do you think the description of you is accurate? (Be specific)
- The spoke the truth when they said I would do anything for the ones I love. I only like water I don’t love it. Also I can be stubborn sometimes, but who can’t?!

In what ways do you think the description is totally not “you”? (Be specific)
- Saying I’m determined isn’t the way I would describe myself, because I think I can do anything but I don’t think I will succeed in it or at it. I’m also not half-human, half-horse

Is there a different character that you think is more you? Why?
- Annabeth is more like me because I am athletic and proud of myself in what I succeed in. I sometimes can have a temper and I usually forget people easily. I also do get compliments that I’m pretty/beautiful etc.

Cast your family and friends. Explain why you chose the person you chose for each character. You will be the character that best fits you.
Percy- Ethan: He’s stubborn and has a temper. He is also very brave.
Grover- Sam S.: She is very nice, intelligent, is very good at singing/music.
Annabeth- Myself, I’m athletic, intelligent, and proud of what I succeed in.
Chiron (Mr. Brunner)- Mr. Agreste, he thinks I will do very well in shot put and her encourages me to try hard. He is very nice and layed back.
Mr. D- The girl cop at TA, she scares me.
Luke- Stephanie, she wants the best for herself
Clarrise- My sisters, they can be mean sometimes.
